AUCTION REGISTRATION
In order to bid in this auction, you must register online by 7:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (10:00 p.m. EST) on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2020. If you registered for any one of our Internet auctions since 2009, please use your previously established login and password to bid in this auction. If you forgot your password, please email us. Registration takes only a few minutes. To register, log on to www.scpauctions.com. On the home page, click on the “Registration” tab. Please enter all required registration information and click “Save” at the bottom of the page. During registration you will create a login and password. You only need to register once. You must be logged in at www.scpauctions.com in order to place bids. Keep your login and password in a safe place for future reference as they will remain the same for all future SCP internet auctions. Upon registering you will receive an email confirming your registration. Upon receipt of this confirmation email you will immediately be able to login and place bids in this auction.
BIDDING
This is an Internet-only auction. All lots that reach their minimum bid, or meet reserve if applicable, are sold to the highest bidder. Bidding for this auction will open on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25th, 2020 at www.scpauctions.com. Immediately after registering and receiving email confirmation of your login and password (see REGISTRATION above), you will be able to bid in this sale. You must be logged into the auction at www.scpauctions.com using your login (your email address) and password in order to place bids in this sale. IMPORTANT: The final day of bidding for all lots is SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12th, 2020. In order to be eligible to bid on a lot during the Extended Bidding Period that begins at 7:00 p.m. PST (10:00 p.m. EST) on DECEMBER 12th, you must have placed a bid on that lot before the end of the Initial Bidding Period (before 7:00 p.m. PST / 10:00 p.m. EST on DECEMBER 12TH). IF YOU HAVE NOT BID ON A SPECIFIC LOT BEFORE 7:00 PM PST (10:00 PM EST) ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 12TH, YOU CANNOT BID ON THAT LOT THEREAFTER.
30 MINUTE CLOSING RULE: YOU MUST PLACE AN INITIAL BID ON A LOT BEFORE 7:00 PM PST ON AUCTION CLOSING DAY TO BE ELIGIBLE TO BID ON THAT LOT DURING THE EXTENDED BIDDING PERIOD THAT STARTS AT 7:00 PM PST. IF YOU ARE THE ONLY BIDDER ON A GIVEN LOT AT 7:00 PM PST, THEN THAT LOT IS AUTOMATICALLY CLOSED OUT AND YOU ARE DECLARED THE WINNER. AT 7:00 PM PST, THE 30-MINUTE RULE STARTS AND EACH LOT WILL CLOSE INDIVIDUALLY AFTER THAT LOT GOES 30 MINUTES WITH NO NEW BIDS. WHENEVER A NEW BID IS PLACED, THE 30-MINUTE TIMER WILL BE RESET AND THE COUNTDOWN WILL RESTART. IF YOU ARE THE CURRENT HIGH BIDDER ON A LOT AND YOU CHANGE YOUR MAX (CEILING) BID AFTER 7:00 PM PST, THIS WILL NOT EXTEND THE BIDDING TIME; ONLY A BID PLACED BY ANOTHER BIDDER OR A HIGHER "STRAIGHT BID" PLACED BY THE CURRENT HIGH BIDDER WILL RESET THE ENDING TIME ON THAT LOT. THIS RULE PROVIDES ALL BIDDERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO BID ON THE LOTS THEY ARE ELIGIBLE FOR, WITHOUT GETTING OUTBID AT THE LAST MINUTE DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS. BIDDERS NEED TO LOG IN AND WATCH THEIR ACCOUNT PAGE TO SEE THE STATUS OF LOTS THEY ARE BIDDING ON DURING EXTENDED BIDDING. SCP AUCTIONS WILL NOT EMAIL OUR BIDDERS IF THERE IS ANY CHANGE IN THE CLOSING PROCEDURE THAT DEVIATES FROM THE ABOVE. THE COMPANY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE IF AN INDIVIDUAL USER HAS UNSUBSCRIBED FROM SCP'S NOTIFICATION EMAILS AND THEREFORE DOES NOT RECEIVE THE CLOSING UPDATE EMAIL.

HAMMER PRICE & BUYER’S PREMIUM. The successful or winning bid price placed in this sale at www.scpauctions.com is also described as the hammer price. A Buyer’s Premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot and is payable by the purchaser as part of the total purchase price. The Buyer’s Premium is equal to 20% of the successful bid price. For example, in the event that you win a lot with a successful bid price (hammer price) of $1,000, then your total cost for that lot will be equal to the $1,000 successful bid price plus the 20% Buyer’s Premium. In this example, the total cost for that lot will equal $1,200 (plus shipping, handling, insurance and sales tax, if applicable).
PAYMENT
CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Invoices are due and payable by TUESDAY DECEMBER 29TH, 2020. Payment may be in the form of personal or business checks, certified checks, traveler’s checks, money orders, or wire transfers. All payments must clear prior to items being shipped. Property will not be released to you, your agent, or a shipper for up to seven business days in order to allow payment to clear. Payment must be mailed to SCP Auctions, 32451 Golden Lantern, Suite 308, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677. Please include your account name and lot numbers purchased as the “additional information” that you may provide when sending the wire transfer. AUCTION PROCEDURES & CONDITIONS OF SALE

MINIMUM BIDS, BIDDING INCREMENTS AND MAXIMUM BIDS. Each lot in the auction has a Minimum Bid (designated in the printed catalogue and online as “MB”). When bidding, you will be able to view the current high bid for each lot. When you want to bid, you will click through to the individual lot page. There you will be able to view a pull-down menu of incremental bid amounts. You will have the option of selecting the next incremental bid (the lowest amount that the pull-down menu displays) or any bid higher than the next incremental bid (a Maximum Bid). If you select a Maximum Bid, the auction program will bid incrementally on your behalf one bid at a time, up to but not exceeding your “maximum” bid amount, with the intention of winning the item at the lowest possible price. Bid increments are set at 10% increases. In the event that two or more bidders place the same Maximum Bid, then the earliest received bid will be recognized as the successful high bid.

RESERVES: Maximum bids will be treated as straight bids on items with reserves until the reserve price is met. If you place a maximum bid in excess of a reserve amount that has not yet been met, your bid will automatically be placed at the reserve price. All bids placed after a reserve has been met will continue with normal bidding increments unless straight bids are placed by a bidder.
MY BIDS. All of your bids within your account will be managed and viewable in the “My Bids” section of the site. After you are logged in to the auction using your login and password, My Bids will be a clickable tab on the horizontal navigation bar. In “My Bids,” you will be able to view a list of all lots that you have bid on, the current high bid for each lot you have bid on, whether or not you are the current high bidder, and your Maximum Bids on each lot (for lots you have placed a “Maximum” Bid).

INVOICING. Invoices will be emailed to all winning bidders. Invoices are also available online. To view your invoice, log in to the “My Accounts” page and click on the “View Invoice” button. Invoices are due and payable by TUESDAY, MAY 19, 2020. Shipping, packing, insurance and sales tax (if applicable) will be included on the invoice. State sales tax will be charged to residents where sales tax is applicable unless you provide a valid tax resale number. If you have a valid resale license, you will have the opportunity to check the appropriate box when registering for the auction online. You must also email a copy of your valid resale license to customerservice@scpauctions.com with a cover letter that includes your name, account name and telephone number. We will then mail you a re-sale certificate (if applicable) which you must complete, sign and mail back to SCP Auctions. If you check the re-sale box online during registration, but do not provide us with a copy of your  resale number and return the certificate to SCP Auctions, we are required to collect and remit sales tax according to your state's sales tax laws.
Additionally, lots you purchase may be subject to taxes or fees imposed by various foreign taxing agencies. You are responsible for paying all foreign imposed taxes whether VAT, GST, etc. prior to delivery unless other arrangements are made in writing. Lots delivered to you or your representative may be subject to all applicable state and local taxes, unless appropriate permits are on file with the auctioneer. Should state sales tax become applicable in the state for delivery prior to delivery of the property on the invoice, the bidder agrees to pay all applicable state sales tax as required by the delivery state as of the shipping date. Bidder agrees to pay SCP Auctions, Inc. the actual amount of tax due in the event that sales tax is not properly collected due to: 1) an expired , inaccurate, or inappropriate tax certificate or declaration; 2) an incorrect interpretation of the applicable statute; 3) or any other reason. The appropriate form or certificate must be on file at and verified by SCP Auctions, Inc. five days prior to auction, or tax must be paid; only if such form or certificate is received by the auctioneer within four days after the auction can a refund of tax paid be made.

SHIPPING. Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method. If you would like your items shipped in a different method, such as UPS Next Day or UPS 2-Day, you must contact our Customer Service Help Desk by emailing customerservice@scpauctions.com  to discuss alternative shipping instructions. Prior to bidding, please be aware of estimated shipping costs, especially for large or heavy lots. You may contact SCP Auctions for any shipping estimates lots you bidding on or interested in bidding on. If you intend to pick up your items in person at the SCP Auctions office, please call us to schedule. Payment must clear prior to items being available for pick-up.
FRAMES INCLUDED WITH LOTS. While we make every effort to protect the frames included with these lots during pre-auction storage and post-auction shipping, we are not responsible for any damage to the frames themselves, and no refunds will be given due to frame damage.
AUCTION CATALOGS. If you have been an active bidder in SCP Auctions during the last three years, you will continue to receive our complimentary auction catalogues. If you have not been an active bidder in our auctions and do not participate in this auction, we will be removing your name from our complimentary catalogue list. ACCEPTING CONSIGNMENTS. SCP Auctions is actively seeking consignments of collections and individual items. We are accepting consignments for our next Internet auction and or private sales. Our most wanted items include: Full or Partial Collections; Tobacco, Caramel and Gum cards; Pre and Post-War single cards and sets; PSA Registry sets; PSA, SGC, and Beckett graded cards; 19th century cards and items; Regional Items, Autographed Items, Single and Team Signed Baseballs; Game Used Bats, Jerseys, and Equipment; Rings and Awards; Vintage Photographs; and New York Yankees, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig items. CONDITIONS OF SALE BIDDING. By placing a bid with SCP Auctions, Inc. you are entering into a legal and binding contract. No bid may be retracted under any circumstances. In the event of a disagreement regarding bids, the determination of SCP Auctions shall be final.
CAPITALIZED HEADINGS & LOT DESCRIPTIONS. The Capitalized Heading (in bold print) is included in the printed catalogue for each lot. In addition to the Capitalized Heading, the online catalogue includes a detailed lot description for each lot. It is important to read the detailed lot description for important details including the contents, quantities and conditions of each lot. Feel free to call with questions prior to placing a bid on any lot.
ADDITIONAL TERMS. The title to each lot will remain with SCP Auctions or the Consignor until payment has cleared. SCP Auctions retains the right to withdraw any item in the sale prior to the closing date of the sale for any reason whatsoever, and shall have no liability for such withdrawal. Any necessary corrections to the printed catalogue shall be published in the Addenda online. All capitalized heading and references to PSA population reports, SMR values, and PSA set registry rankings are as of the time that this catalogue was produced. SCP Auctions retains the right to cancel any sale if payment is not received within 30 days of the closing date of the auction. SCP Auctions retains the right to revoke future bidding privileges for accounts that are not paid in full within 30 days of the auction closing date. If a winning bidder does not pay an invoice in full within 30, SCP Auctions retains the right to cancel the sale and return the item(s) to the consignor(s), sell the given items to an underbidder, relist the item(s) in subsequent auction(s) or offer for private sale, or any other means of disposal. SCP Auctions retains the right to postpone or delay the auction for any reason, including reasons beyond their control, without recourse from any account holder or bidder. By bidding in this auction, the bidder consents to the application of the laws of the state of California without application of conflicts of laws and the jurisdiction of the state of California in the county of Orange. In no event shall SCP Auctions’ liability to a purchaser exceed the purchase price of record for the lot.
AUTOGRAPH AUTHENTICATION POLICY. SCP Auctions is committed, with respect to signed material, to selling only items that have been reviewed and authenticated by reputable third party authenticators such as PSA/DNA, JSA, and Beckett Authentication. Please note that it is the responsibility of the bidder to review the lot description for each lot in order to determine what, if any form of third-party authentication, will accompany each item. SCP Auctions is not responsible for submitting pre-certified items to PSA/DNA for full LOA’s. Winning bidders may submit their “Pre-Certified” items to PSA/DNA within 60 days of the auction closing with their invoice or proof of purchase from our auction house to receive special pricing from PSA/DNA on upgrading to full letters of authentication (LOA’s). AUTHENTICATION The provenance and authenticity of the items offered in this sale have been researched extensively. SCP Auctions (formerly Sports Cards Plus) has been a leader in the sports cards and memorabilia industry for forty years. In many cases, we have employed the services of the foremost independent authentication firms such as PSA or SGC for card grading and authentication services; PSA/DNA (Professional Sports Authenticator), JSA (James Spence Authentication) and Beckett Authentication for autograph authentication, and MEARS (Memorabilia Evaluation And Research Services) and PSA/DNA (John Taube) for game-used equipment. LOA’s (Letters of Authenticity) from third party authenticators, as well as those from relevant sources, are indicated in the lot description online at www.scpauctions.com. AS IS. All property is sold “as is” without any representations or warranties by SCP Auctions or the Consignor as to the merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, the correctness of the catalogue or other description of the physical condition, size, quality, rarity, importance, medium, provenance, exhibitions, literature or historical relevance of any property, and no statement anywhere – whether oral or written, made in the catalogue, an advertisement, a bill of sale, a salesroom posting or announcement, or elsewhere – shall be deemed such a warranty, representation or assumption of liability. SCP Auctions and the Consignor make no representations or warranties, express or implied, as to whether the purchaser acquires any copyrights, including but not limited to, any reproduction rights in any property. SCP Auctions and the Consignor are not responsible for errors and omissions in the printed catalogue, online catalogue or any supplemental material, or in regards to the failure of the auction program to execute any bids on behalf of the bidder.
RETURN POLICY. No certified and/or pre-certified material may be returned due to possible differences of opinion with respect to the grade on any given lot. No guarantee of grade is offered for uncertified property that is later submitted to a third-party grading service. Under extremely limited situations a winning bidder may request SCP Auctions to evaluate voiding a sale as long as said request is made within 30 days of the auction close. The winning bidder must notify SCP Auctions of such request by calling our main office +1 (949) 831-3700 and receive prior approval to return item(s) in question for review and consideration. Lots to be considered for void of sale must be sent back to SCP Auctions’ main office within 30 days once approval has been granted. If the lot(s) are not returned within those 30 days, then they are no longer eligible for return. Lots must be entirely intact, in the same condition as when sold to the winner, and include all original accompanying documentation to be accepted and/or considered for return. No amount above selling price will be refunded for any reason. Late remittance for purchases may be considered just cause to revoke all return privileges.
The parties agree to submit any dispute that may arise in connection with the auction to arbitration in Orange County, California. Agreement between bidder and SCP auctions shall be governed and construed in accordance to the laws of the state of California.
