Pitchers' bats are a hot commodity among esteemed lumber collectors primarily due to the fact that they don't hit very much, making their bats rather scarce. Hall of Fame hurler Tom Glavine enjoyed a long and steady career full of success with the Atlanta Braves, teaming with Greg Maddux and John Smoltz to form one of the greatest starting rotations in history. With pinpoint control and impeccable mechanics, the southpaw won a total of 305 games over his 22-year career, which came to an end in 2008. As a hitter, he batted .186 and with just one career home run, but was considered one of the better sacrifice bunters. Glavine swung this very bat during the 2002 season with the Braves.

The Louisville Slugger Tom Glavine professional model C243 bat exhibits evidence of excellent use with a handle crack. Several ball marks are visible on the right and back barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers. The lower handle and knob have been taped in a spiral pattern and there is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. Glavine's player number (47) is written on the knob and top of the barrel in black marker. Includes LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA with a GU 8 grade.
