While some may not want to admit it, there's little chance the Los Angeles Lakers win back-to-back NBA titles in 2009 and 2010 without 7-foot center Andrew Bynum in the low block. And during the 2009-10 season, you could find Bynum patrolling the paint wearing the sneakers featured here. Bynum signed with Protege prior to that season (he'd later switch back to Nike) and wore a few different color variations. He wore this Protege 3 model pair, size 18 in full-fledged Lakers team colors, early in the season as photos attest, and finished with season averages of 15 points and 8 rebounds in yet another Championship run for the purple and gold. The insides are customized with an insole padding for extra support on his 285 lb. frame. The bottoms show typical court wear, while the side panels and outer sections indicate the big guy was stepped on quite a few times. Essentially, they are as issued in appropriate game-used condition.

LOA from Bill Bertka.
