Actual baseball game used in the April 22, 1954 contest in which Hall of Fame Los Angeles Dodger pitcher Don Drysdale, a senior at Van Nuys High School at the time, threw a no-hitter against Hollywood High School. He struck out 12 batters in the game. On a side panel Drysdale has written "NO-HIT, NO-RUN GAME, 4-22-54 V.N. 7 - HOLLY 0". Drysdale grew up a few blocks from Van Nuys High School and was an All-City pitcher there in 1954. As a senior in 1954 Drysdale led Van Nuys to the City Section playoffs with 10 victories before signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers for a $4,000 bonus. On April 14, 2004 the school's newly renovated baseball field was named Don Drysdale Memorial Field. Ball displays excellent game use.
Includes LOA from the Drysdale Family.
