The key subject in the 1922 American Caramel production, Babe Ruth is pictured in a Boston Red Sox uniform with the caption at the bottom identifying him as the New York Yankees right fielder. A first impression of this well centered beauty makes it hard to rationalize its FR 1.5 grade as assigned by PSA. The corners are better than average for the issue and project at the EX to EX-MT level while no creases are visible. While the card front bears an attractive aesthetic and the items' advertising back is clean and carries a bold, black font, the back does suffer from some minor spots of paper loss. This flaw alone presents the card from EX 5 candidacy in our opinion. Nonetheless, a tremendously desirable early Ruth card sure to command a premium per its third party technical assessment.
