From Ron Thomas of the ABA Kentucky Colonels comes this circa 1972 Colonels game-worn road jersey. A 6-6 forward from the University of Louisville, Thomas spent four seasons (1972–76) in the ABA playing for the Kentucky Colonels. He tallied 1,051 points and 1,075 rebounds in his four-season ABA career. The Rawlings tag on the inside back of the shirt is heavily frayed on the right side, enough so that the second digit of the size is not visible (the first is "4"). The tag is separated from three sides; an adjacent tag with washing instructions fares much better. Overall the jersey is in nice condition showing an enormous amount of wear, with some staining on the large No. 8 on the back and some puckering of the No. 8 front and back and the "Kentucky" and "Thomas" lettering front and back. Still, a wonderful and important artifact and one of the many rarities from the long-defunct American Basketball Association.
