Awesome Honus Wagner studio portrait from 1913 featuring a portrait image of the Pittsburgh Pirate Hall of Fame shortstop floating against a white background. The crystal clear image is still in the original vintage 12" by 16" frame, just as it was originally displayed in the Wagner household. The photographer has signed and dated (1913) the photo at the right bottom of the image. When originally sold by SCP in our August 14, 2003 Honus Wagner estate sale, the photo had some darker toning and soiling around the image. The consignor has had the piece professionally cleaned, resulting in the beautiful photo offered before you. This is certainly among the more impressive Wagner photos we have seen, made all the more so by it's Wagner family provenance.
