Outstanding autograph of notorious Black Sox pitcher Eddie Cicotte, signed on the back of a photo by the tainted hurler. Cicotte, winner of 29 games during the 1919 season, intentionally lost Games 1 and 4 after being paid $10,000 by gamblers to lose the World Series. When the rest of the money was not paid as promised to the players by the gamblers, Cicotte went out in Game 7 and easily downed the Reds 4-1. 5" by 7" photo features a portrait shot of Cicotte on the White Sox. At bottom of photo in white border is printed by a typewriter "EDDIE CICOTTE". On the back Cicotte has signed in beautiful 8/10 dark blue vintage ink "to my Friend John Ferrel Eddie V. Cicotte White Sox". Photo slabbed with autograph NM-MT PSA/DNA 8. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
