With 3,304 hits, a .313 lifetime batting average and enough World Series rings to hit every finger on one hand and move on to the next (5), Derek Jeter's Hall of Fame ticket was punched a long, long time ago. And yet he remains at the heart of the Yankees order, trying to add to his World Series jewelry or his remarkable 13 All-Star appearances, five Gold Gloves or five Silver Sluggers. Only fitting then that No. 2 would sign this seatback from the old Yankee Stadium, fittingly enough a No. 2 seat. The seatback is in wonderful game-used condition, complete with all the nuance that that suggests, augmented in this case by a nifty blue Sharpie Jeter autograph on the middle slat and the 6-by-2-inch metal nameplate adorned with the Yankee Stadium facade and providing details Jeter and the MLB Authentication Program. Also included in the lot is a handsome game-used MLB Selig ball with blue ballpoint Jeter signature on the sweet spot and the requisite MLB (483190) and Steiner (163869) holograms that attest to the game usage. Ball shows game use and is otherwise problem-free and as-issued.
