July 15th 1942 Clark Gable signed Superior Court, State of California, County of Los Angeles, legal document as Executor of the Carole Lombard Estate. Lombard, Gable's wife and one of the most popular female movie stars in Hollywood, died tragically on January 16th, 1942 in a plane crash while returning home from a World War II bond selling tour. The document authorizes payment to Bullock's Department Store, Los Angeles for items bought by Lombard in November and December 1941 plus Christmas gift wrapping. In addition to the legal document, the bill from Bullock's Department Store against the estate is also present. Perfect looking 9-10/10 Clark Gable vintage black ink autograph. Document itself in great condition.
