This Size 10 1/2 sterling silver ring was presented to NBA Hall of Famer Chris Mullin as a member of the winning St. John’s squad at the 1983 Big East Championship, the first time the tournament was held at Madison Square Garden and arguably the launching point of the conference to the lofty status it enjoyed for the next three decades. Mullin was the Big East Player of the Year and the MVP of the conference tourney, adding this ring to the armanda of hardware that he would accumulate in the coming years in the NBA. The ring has a red stone at the face encircled by raised silver letter of “St. John’s University” and “1983.” One shank shows an engraved basketball design with “Champions” at the center; the other says “Big East.” The ring is in overall fine condition, but does show some light scuffing on the red stone and some barely discernible tiny scratches, moderate to heavy wear and some tarnishing around some of the engraved elements. Undoubtedly, this is one of the most prominent college basketball rings ever offered publicly.

Comes with a LOA from Chris Mullin.
