Beautiful 14K gold diamond pendant given to celebrate the Minnesota Twins victory in the 1987 World Series. The underdog Twins, making their first World Series appearance, came in with the worst won-lost record for a Series team up to that time but were dominating at home, posting a 56-25 record inside the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. This would pay off as the Twins won their first World Championship by winning all 4 home games at home to defeat the Cardinals 4-3. This marked the first time home teams won all of their games in a 7 game series. Frank Viola's 2 Series victories, including Game 7, gave him Most Valuable Player honors. Pendant is shaped just like the World Championship rings of that year given to the players with a large "M" made of real diamonds at the center of a dark blue stone on top. "Twins" surrounded by two more real diamonds is right above with "World Champions" surrounding the diamond "M". Josten's logo and "14K" stamped on the back. Pendant measures about 1" by 3/4". Comes in the original blue presentation box.
