A dead-pull left-handed slugger, Master Melvin and the Polo Grounds' short right field porch were a match made in heaven, and responsible for the expansion of the 500 Home Run Club to a trio. Ott's fatal automobile accident in 1958 has made his the scarcest of signatures from the that illustrious club, and we find a perfect 10/10 blue ink example on this black and white plaque postcard issued shortly after his Cooperstown induction. The offered postcard has been postmarked June 8th 1954 and is in EX-MT condition.
