Gorgeous 14" by 20" 1930's cardboard counter sign features St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame left fielder Joe "Ducky" Medwick endorsing "Granger Pipe Tobacco." Point of sale display sign boasts a beautiful color likeness of the Redbird with pipe in hand and Granger "Rough Cut" Pipe Tobacco at the ready. After appearing briefly for the Cardinals in 1932, he became a key player for them from 1933 through 1939, averaging a .340 batting average over those seasons. Outstanding piece totally visible, in tremendous condition, with no apparent signs of restoration or repair and only very minor wear at the exposed corners. Framed masterfully to a size of 17" by 23". One of the more beautiful 1930's display pieces out there!
