Visually fairly well matched PSA graded complete set of 4 baseball players from the 1887 N184 W. S. Kimball & Co. Champions of Games and Sports tobacco issue. All have excellent color with sharp picture images. All fronts and backs are clean with the exception of Burch, which has some discoloration from what appears to be album removal. Players are: E. A. Burch - Champion Base Ball Fielder GD PSA 2, Dell Darling - Champion Base Ball Catcher VG-EX PSA 4, Hardie Henderson - Champion Base Ball Pitcher VG-EX PSA 4, and James O'Neil VG+ PSA 3.5 - Champion Base Ball Batter. O'Neill's .435 Batting Average in 1887 for the defending World Champion American Association St. Louis Browns is the 2nd highest single season average in baseball history. The other 3 players in the series had more brief, modest careers.
