YANKEE LEGENDS AUTOGRAPH LOT OF (4) INCL. MICKEY MANTLE SINGLE SIGNED BASEBALL, JOE DIMAGGIO "THE DIMAGGIO ALBUMS, DIMAGGIO PHOTO CARD, AND YOGI BERRA BOOK "IT AIN'T OVER..."

When it comes to legendary baseball players, look no further than the storied ranks from the vintage New York Yankee teams from the 1940’s and ’50’s. Granted, both Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig were playing a tad earlier, but the Yankee clubs from this two-decade period won a total 13 American league pennants and 10 World Series titles. In a word, wow.

This lot offers four autographed items from three different pinstriped legends from said period: Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio and Yogi Berra. The Mantle signed item is a slightly toned Official American League (Brown) baseball that “The Mick” autographed beautifully across the sweet spot in blue ink. From “Joltin’ Joe” DiMaggio comes a par of signed pieces: a TCMA Ltd. color photo card measuring 3.5” wide by 5.5” high (autographed in fine-point blue marker) and a two-volume set of books entitled “The DiMaggio Albums.” Both 400 pages deep, the albums are packed with incredible photos and stories of Joltin’ Joe’s life from 1932 to 1951. He signed the first volume in perfect blue marker on its inside cover page. The final piece to this Yankee puzzle comes from Yogi Berra himself; a signed copy of his autobiography entitled “Yogi It Ain’t Over…” Berra signed the inside cover page in blue ink.
