Wayne Gretzky made his NHL debut on October 10 1979 against the Chicago Blackhawks. Although the Oilers lost the game Gretzky recorded his first NHL assist. Gretzky would record 1962 more assists over his 20 year career and score an astounding 894 goals re-writting the NHL record book and changing the game forever. This Easton HXP 5100 stick was used by The Great One in NHL action. The stick shows light but appropriate wear with marks and scuffing along the shaft. C20 is written on the top of the knob in black sharpie. Gretzky's name appears in block letters on the wooden blade and just below the grip at the top of the stick. Wayne has added a clean black sharpie signature above the blade rating a strong 9/10. LOA from PSA/DNA
