Beautiful golfing momento from a significant series in Ryder Cup History. Finely crafted 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 2" silver cigarette humidor was given to Walter Hagen by the victorious 1937 Ryder Cup Team. Lid has large "W.H." initials while the front is inscribed "To Walter "From The Boys" U. S. Ryder Cup Team 1937". 1937 was the first time a US team had won on British soil. The 10 members of that team were: Byron Nelson Sam Snead Gene Sarazen Ed Dudley Denny Shute Johnny Revolta Ralph Guldahl Horton Smith Henry Picard and Tony Manero. The original instruction sheet is also included. LOA from consignor whose father and uncle worked for Walter Hagen in the 1920's and 30's.
