Warren Moon, even from his earliest days the able helmsman in charge of effectively pursuing his future, would use the address of a family friend to be able to attend Alexander Hamilton High School in his hometown Los Angeles, a considerable upgrade from the local school that he otherwise would have been assigned to. The striking dark green and white jacket, a combination of wool, leather and knit trim, is in superb condition despite its four decades. Virtually all elements of the jacket appear to be largely problem-free, with no discernible fraying of the knitted sections on waist, sleeves or collar and only modest fraying around some of the white background pieces on the school letter or his No. 16. A large chenille Celtic green and white "H" is spectacular, with intricate embroidery of bold and white stars and black-and-gold hash marks. Similarly elaborate white embroidery on the facing panel details "Western League Champs '73, Warren Moon, Western League Player of the Year '73, All City Most Valuable Player 1973." The white leather sleeves show only the slightest whispers of staining or dirt; Moon's No. 10 is embroidered in green and white chenille on the left sleeve; beneath the number Moon has scripted an attractive black Sharpie autograph, adding his uniform No. 10 below it.

LOA from Warren Moon.
