The 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers staged a season to remember. They finished the regular season with a record of 98-55, good enough for tops in the National League, and outlasted the New York Yankees in a thrilling World Series, four games to three. The club, managed by Hall of Famer Walter Alston, brought Brooklyn its one and only title before the team headed west two years later in a wake of broken hearts. The offered Official National League (Giles) baseball from the personal collection of Walter Alston appears like new and remains almost snow white with no visible toning present. 16 signatures in mostly blue ballpoint pen include Hall of Famers Alston (SS), Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Sandy Koufax (Rookie) and Pee Wee Reese, as well as Carl Furillo, Gil Hodges, Don Zimmer, Carl Erkine, Roger Craig, Dixie Howell, Labine, Hoak, Kellert and Gilliam. Signatures appear 8-9/10 in boldness and eye appeal. The ball itself would rate 9/10 in our opinion. Signature of Roebuck is deemed clubhouse.

Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Includes a letter of provenance from the Alston family.
