Joe Gordon was a stellar second baseman who was an integral part of the Yankees success in the late 1930s and early 1940s. He helped New York win four World Series titles during that time and won the 1942 AL MVP for his contributions. Gordon's contributions to the game were recognized by his induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009, solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest second basemen of all time.
Offered is a scarce Gordon single-signed baseball. The autograph is well-placed on the sweet spot with an inscription to another Joe. Signature rates 7-8/10, with the Wilson 'Official Major League' ball displaying some toning throughout. Gordon addressed the baseball to Joe Chez, a Stanford Athletics Hall of Fame ballplayer. Overall, an incredible example of one of the tougher Hall of Fame singles in the market. Accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AN09787).
