Circa 1920's page from a magazine featuring a beautiful image from an 1889 print featuring a scene from the Opening Game of the 1889 National League Baseball season. Small Boston composite team photo at lower left corner. Main picture shows the New York Giants in the field with Hall of Famer John Ward up for Boston. Page has been folded down the center at one time. Very small piece of paper loss at lower Boston team Moho. Small 1/4" tar at top right border. At one time page was matted to a size of 12" by 15". Page was glued along edges to back of matting resulting in damage to edges, which IS NOT visible once matted. Appears some type of sporting themed copy of an earlier print appears on the back side of the page. All things considered, still an eye catching display piece.
