Gorgeous 1949 New York Yankees World Champions pendant made by Balfour and presented to a staff member (or perhaps a player's wife) after beating their crosstown rival Brooklyn Dodgers. The elegant piece features three genuine round-cut diamonds, three rubies and three sapphires on the iconic Yankees top hat, with "1949" etched intricately on the baseball bat. The unique design with "Yankees" scripted in the background with a hollowed-out circular frame is something we have never seen before, making this seemingly one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry all the more special. A loop is attached to the top for wearing around the neck with a chain. The loop is hallmarked "14K' for its gold content. The reverse of the pendant itself is hallmarked with "10K" and the Balfour "LGB" logo. The item is nearly 2" at its longest points and 1.25" wide, with a weight of 14 grams.
