This family heirloom has never been publicly offered before. It is an ONL (Giles) baseball signed by Babe Pinelli the umpire who called Don Larson's perfect game for the New York Yankees in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series. The ball is inscribed "To J.F. Giambastiani with Best Wishes Babe Pinelli" and under the signature Pinelli has also written "Umpire Don Larson Perfect Game 1956 World Series". The inscription and signature rates about a 7. The ball is lightly toned and shows minimal wear possibly from use in that legendary game. LOA from PSA/DNA and letter from the family.
