Offered here are two participation medals from the 2004 Athens Summer Olympic Games and one from the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics, respectively.
2004 Athens Summer Olympics Participation Medals (2): Made of bronze. 50 mm; 61 grams. Minted by Efsimon. Obverse features Greek lettering and waves of Aegean sea on either side of 2004 Athens Games legend. Reverse has “Games of the XXVIII Olympiad, 13-29 August 2004" in raised text between similar design as front. Both medals appear to be in NM condition and come encased in their original 8.75" x 12.25" presentation booklet folders (with cutouts in backing so each may be removed).
2006 Torino Winter Olympics Participation Medal: Made of pewter. 40 mm; 33 grams. Minted by Quatrini. Obverse has Torino Games legend with Aqueduct of Alpignano in raised relief. Reverse has several rays of ice crystals with Olympic rings and motto (in Latin) below. Presents in NM-MT shape. Includes its original cardboard and plastic case.
