Here is a spectacular piece from the initial four "modern" Triple Crown winners, a well-known piece of Ron Lewis artwork that features Frank Robinson, Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle and Carl Yastrzemski. Finding such a piece with signatures of the four Hall of Famers would be reason for jubilation, but finding those same four autographs with detailed inscriptions of their Triple Crown stats makes an already-vital treasure much rarer indeed. The opportunities for such elaborate signings was a relatively small window in the 1980's and 1990's at the various card shows around the country. The autographs here are nothing short of sensational and more than worthy complements, as are the inscriptions, which in the case of Ted Williams meant including his numbers from both 1942 and 1947. The bold Sharpie autographs seem unimprovable and come with the official blessing of James Spence Authentications, with full LOA included. The massive 20-by-26-inch print is bordered by an attractive 2 1/2-inch black mat and in turn protected in acrylic and wooden frame that bring the overall dimensions to 30-by-24 inches. All elements appear to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition.
