During the 1950's and 1960's golf began to gain in popularity due to increased television coverage. "The Big Three" of Nicklaus, Palmer, and Player were instrumental in bringing golf into the mainstream of society. Palmer began his career in 1954 and won 62 PGA tournaments with 7 majors. Palmer was easily the most popular of the big 3 bolstered by Arnie's Army. Nicklaus burst onto the scene in 1961 and amassed 73 PGA tour wins (3rd all time) with a record 18 majors. Nicklaus and Palmer would be a part of golfs greatest rivalry for the next 30 years. Gary Player was born in South Africa and join the tour in 1957 and became one of the most popular foreign born golfers in the history of golf. While Player only had 24 PGA tour wins, 9 of them were majors. Player is the only non American to win all four majors known as the career grand slam.

Presented here are three gloves signed by "The Big Three". All 3 gloves are signed in black felt pen across the palm. Player and Palmer are signed on PGA National gloves with red trim while the Nicklaus glove is a US Open glove from 1993 at Baltusrol with green trim. All autographs are very clear and legible and would rate a 8-9/10. This is a must have for anyone who is an avid golf fan or collector.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
