Great pairing of items celebrating Roger Maris’ single season home run record of “61 in ’61.”  Includes a 4.5” by 7" promotional photo card signed by Maris in 9/10 black felt tip. The item features an image of the historic clout along with titling at top and particulars of Maris' signature moment printed on the lower portion. Also included is an OAL (Budig) baseball signed and inscribed by Tracy Stallard, the man who gave up Roger Maris’ 61st homerun. Stallard’s long inscription recounts his personal story of giving up the historic shot on October 1, 1961. This has been written out entirely in his hand (taking up two panels and the sweet spot) with the lengthy inscription concluding, “…Later Maris thanked me for having the courage to pitch to him. It wasn’t courage, it was my job.” Ball is NM-MT overall. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
