Tony Romo has been the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys since midway through the 2006 season. A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Romo continues to search for the right offensive combination of weapons in order to move the Cowboys back to the NFC championship game, a contest that has eluded the team since 1996. This lot includes an actual Dallas Cowboys Riddell professional NFL game-model helmet (size L) that Romo has autographed in blue fine-point marker just to the left of the Cowboys star on the helmet’s left side. Romo has added his uniform number (“9”) just beneath the signature. The autograph rates 9/10. The NFL hologram sticker (#LF209811244) can be found inside just underneath the left ear hole.

The Robert Zweigle collection represents 40 years of assembling sports memorabilia items from college and professional football, professional golf and NCAA basketball. Bob Zweigle was a major supplier of promotional products to the NFL who personally attended 38 Super Bowls, working closely with NFL personnel and establishing unique connections that helped grow his collection. He designed/produced Super Bowl press pins from XXV through XXXIX (the final year the NFL produced its own pins). He also designed/produced the Player Participation Trophy and Player of the Game Trophy for the Pro Bowl, as well as the Arena Bowl Championship Trophy. He made it a personal quest to obtain in-person autographs on important memorabilia items at many sporting events wherein he had rare and unusual access.
