Tony Lazzeri's Hillerich & Bradsby model W39 professional model bat shows evidence of outstanding use with a handle crack. Few second baseman of Lazzeri's physical stature (5' 10", 170lbs.) wielded a heftier bat. This 35 inch, 37 ounce club is covered with ball marks and ball stitch marks throughout the barrel. Also visible on the bat are cleat marks. The bat has factory side writing that is no longer visible. The knob and top of the barrel have been vault marked with the model number W39, though H&B factory records do not reference a model W39 being returned to the factory by Lazzeri. Identifiable player usage characteristics, factory markings, and excellent visual appeal make this one of the more impressive of a scant few Lazzeri game bats we've seen in the marketplace. LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (Graded GU 7).
