This 1993 All-Star Game ring was presented to Tony Gwynn, who was making his ninth appearance in the Mid-Summer Classic, with a half dozen more to come in the Hall of Famer’s remarkable career. It was a notable season in yet another sense: Gwynn would win his final four (of eight total) batting championships from 1994-97, stringing together the greatest batting stretch of his fabled career, but he didn’t win the title in 1993 despite hitting a whopping .358, which is a pretty good trick in itself.

Ring has a CZ diamond on the face atop a blue stone, surrounded by "Baseball All-Star 1993" in raised lettering. The iconic MLB logo is on one shank in a sculpted figural with information about the game at Camden Yards in Baltimore; the other has the National League emblem logo in sculpted figural. Inside of the band is stamped Balfour Auralite. Comes in a black felt jewelry box; all elements of the ring appear to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition. Ring size 9. Weight 24 grams.

Includes a Letter of Authenticity from The Gwynn Family.

A portion of the proceeds generated by the Tony Gwynn Collection will be donated to the Tony and Alicia Gwynn Foundation. The TAG Foundation is a non-profit, 5013(c) charity dedicated to creating and supporting programs that enhance opportunities for youth to become healthy, educated, and productive citizens. The TAG Foundation was organized in San Diego in 1995 by Tony’s wife, Alicia. For more information, visit www.tagwynn2.org.
