On Tuesday, July 9, 1991, National Leaguer Tony Gwynn participated in his seventh MLB All-Star Game. This particular Mid-Summer Classic took place at the SkyDome in Toronto (now known as the Rogers Centre) and was won by the American League contingent, 4-2. This lot includes a specially designed wooden gift clock treasure that Gwynn received for being selected to that year’s All-Star Game. The box measures 5.25” wide by 6.25” high and all four sides sport different measuring instruments including a clock, hydrometer and a thermometer. On the very top of the box is an attractive gold plaque that has been engraved with the American League logo and the following text: “TONY GWYNN, 1991 ALLSTAR GAME, TORONTO.”

Includes Letter of Authenticity from the Gwynn Family.

A portion of the proceeds generated by the Tony Gwynn Collection will be donated to the Tony and Alicia Gwynn Foundation. The TAG Foundation is a non-profit, 5013(c) charity dedicated to creating and supporting programs that enhance opportunities for youth to become healthy, educated, and productive citizens.
