Consistency was the indelible mark that Tony Gwynn left on the game of baseball. A lifetime .341 hitter for the San Diego Padres, he was also a 15-time All-Star Game selection for the San Diego Padres. This lot includes three All-Star Game glass paperweights that Gwynn was awarded for playing in the 1990, ’91 and ’92 Mid-Summer Classics. The 1990 spherical shaped, five-inches across glass paperweight is emblazoned with the following etched in words: “1990 National League All-Star Team, Wrigley Field, Chicago.” The slightly larger 1991 and ’92 glass paperweights, which measure six inches across, were both produced by Tiffany’s and include their respective locations (’91 Toronto and ’92 San Diego) etched across the front. All three paperweights include an Official Sponsor USA Today logo toward the bottom.

A portion of the proceeds generated by the Tony Gwynn Collection will be donated to the Tony and Alicia Gwynn Foundation. The TAG Foundation is a non-profit, 5013(c) charity dedicated to creating and supporting programs that enhance opportunities for youth to become healthy, educated, and productive citizens.
