A rare and fantastic "Theme Ball" commemorating one of the most famous and unbreakable records in the history of baseball. On May 15, 1941 "Joltin" Joe started the streak and not a game went by without a hit until mid July 1941 in Cleveland at Municipal Stadium. 67,468 fans watched pitchers Al Smith and Jim Bagby Jr., but the stopper was the Indians' third baseman, Ken Keltner, who made two dazzling backhand plays deep behind third base to rob DiMaggio of hits. It is sometimes overlooked that DiMaggio was intentionally walked in the fourth inning of that game, and that he promptly started a 16-game streak the next day. This one of a kind ball has Joe DiMaggio on the sweet spot, with Ken Keltner(personalized Best Wishes to Dick), Lou Boudreau (personalized Best Wishes to Richard),and Jim Bagby Jr. (personalized Best Wishes to Richard) on separate side panels. DiMaggio has signed in 8/10 blue felt tip pen with the 3 Indians signing in 8-9/10 blue ink. Unofficial "Official League" ball is whitish with several toning spots.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
