4-time Light-Middleweight World Champion "Terrible" Terry Norris fought and trained during the 1980's and 1990's wearing flashy, custom-designed boxing shoes. Here is the pair he wore for his August 19, 1995 WBC Light-Middleweight Championship bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas against Luis Santana - their third consecutive bout in a 9-month span. The Dominican had taken the WBC belt from Norris November 12, 1994 when Norris was DQ'ed. Oddly enough, the rematch on April 8, 1995 ended exactly the same - another DQ by "Terrible" T. This time Norris won fair and square, knocking down Santana three times in the 2nd round for a clean TKO victory to reclaim his WBC crown. It marked the third and final time that Norris was the WBC Light-Middleweight champion of the world, cementing his place amongst the greatest boxers ever in that weight class.

The red leather custom-made shoes with white stripes and red laces cover the ankle and lower shin, and they feature Norris' trademark white fringe at the top. The man grew up in Texas, so he liked to add a little cowboy/rancher flavor to his stylish wardrobe in the ring. Norris has autographed each shoe on the ankle in perfect 10/10 black marker with the inscriptions "WBC" and "IBF". There is no size tag on the white interior, but they appear to be in the 9-10 range. They show consistent pounding from the fight, yet remain essentially as-issued and problem-free.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

Includes a Letter of Authenticity from "Terrible" Terry Norris.

“Terrible Terry” Norris certainly lived up to his nickname as a boxer, but outside the ring is another story. A few years ago, he and his wife, Tanya, started the Final Fight Foundation whose “mission is to serve as a catalyst for the under-served athletes in health and retirement assistance, during and after their careers.” Norris now suffers from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), Parkinsonism, and Dementia brought on by years in the ring. A portion of the proceeds from his collection will go towards his foundation.
