Two of the most remarkable baseball seasons ever recorded were turned in by fellow American League Hall of Famers Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams during the magical 1941 campaign. “Joltin’ Joe,” playing for the New York Yankees, staged a 56 game hitting streak to set a new MLB record, while “Teddy Ballgame” – playing for the Boston Red Sox – finished the season with a .406 batting average. Neither mark has ever been eclipsed since. This lot features an official American League (MacPhail) baseball signed by both legendary players. It is accompanied by a pair of Ted Williams and Willie Mays single signed baseballs, tying together three of the greatest in baseball history.

On the dual-signed ball, Williams’ signature in light blue pen remains crisp and graces the sweet spot, while DiMaggio’s autograph in dark blue ink can be found on the south panel just below it. Both scrawls rate a solid 8-9/10 in our book, while the baseball itself shows moderate and even toning throughout. The Ted Williams single signed ball comes on an almost snow white OAL (Brown) baseball with the Splendid Splinter's nearly perfect 9/10 blue ballpoint autograph on the sweet spot. A slightly more toned but still quite white ONL (White) ball displays a 7-8/10 blue ballpoint signature from the "Say Hey Kid" on the sweet spot.

Full LOA from JSA for Williams (SS). JSA pre-cert letter for Williams/DiMaggio. All three balls pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
