After working his way up from being an extra to the star of other people’s movies, Bruce Lee wanted to take the next step and direct his own pictures. He would realize this goal in 1972 with the classic “The Way of the Dragon.” However, there were several projects Lee began but never completed before “The Way of the Dragon.” One aborted film was “Blind Swordsman.” Not much is known about this project, but a series of stills were taken of Lee in the title role. This photo is one of the best of the series. The dramatic lighting, sword being drawn, and Lee’s expression make one wish he had brought this story to the screen. The photo has a lightly ragged edge along the bottom and even toning throughout. The back of the photo has “Lee, Bruce” handwritten in pen along with file numbers in marker. The photo has been encapsulated and graded Type 1 Authentic by PSA.
