Roberto Clemente was a legendary hitter and humanitarian. He was a 15-time All Star, won 12 Gold Glove Awards and two World Series titles. Clemente was not only admired for his skills on the field but also for his character and humanitarian efforts. He was deeply committed to helping others and used his celebrity status to raise awareness about social issues and aid those in need. His philanthropic endeavors were particularly focused on assisting Latin American and Caribbean communities.

In his illustrious career, Clemente also claimed four National League batting titles. Presented is the silver bat awarded to Bob as the 1964 National League batting champion. The award is modeled after the famed Louisville Slugger 125 professional model Clemente bat. The trophy bat is 34” long and made up of 55.6 Troy ounces of sterling silver. The bat remains in beautiful condition despite being produced nearly 60 years ago, with just minor scratches in spots. Inscribed in the barrel is “BATTING CHAMPION 1964 NATIONAL LEAGUE B.A. .339.”

Clemente is one of the most prolific hitters in major league history, batting .317 in his career and reaching the prestigious 3,000 career hit milestone. This history trophy wonderfully commemorates the season in which Bob had a career-best 211 of those 3,000 hits. Includes letter of provenance from the Clemente family.
