Presented here is an extraordinary Cy Young single signed Official National League (Frick) baseball. The cream colored ball features a prominent black fountain pen signature of the most revered pitcher in Major League history. The bold autograph is centered within the north panel and appears 8/10 in strength and eye appeal. The creamy white ball dates to the 1947-48 manufacturing period ("Marca Registrada" removed from Spalding logo) and shows hardly any surface wear, maintaining a lovely patina throughout with bold factory stampings. Cy Young finished with an insane 511 career victories during his glorious career that spanned from 1890-1911. He was blessed with both health and sustained success, one of the earliest examples of a true baseball ironman. This is the finest Cy single we have come across and it certainly ranks among the most elite of its kind in the hobby. Accompanied by a full LOA from Beckett.
