Originating from Hank Thomas personal collection this is the only known photo memorializing the initial meeting of the two great pitchers. Also pictured is Gabby Street Johnson's former catcher with the Washington Senators but then Alex's manager with the St. Louis Cardinals. Measures 5 ¾ by 4 inches. EX condition with paper remnant on back from scrapbook removal. A copy of a handwritten letter by Johnson accompanies this photo in which he refers to Alexander as the greatest pitcher he ever saw.
