The Gillette Award given to the San Diego Padres Steve Garvey for being voted as the starting first baseman in the 1984 All-Star Game, held July 10, 1984 at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. Garvey went 1 for 3 with a run scored in a 3-1 National League victory. Wood and metal trophy stands 18" high on a 7 3/4" by 7 3/4" base. "Baseball", "The Gillette Award", "All-Star Election CHAMPION by Vote of the Fans", "All-Star Game 1984", and "Steve Garvey" engraved on the front. Some tarnish to the metal. Very impressive trophy!
