For ten years this group of (10) giant framed photos of The Mick hung in his own New York landmark restaurant, Mickey Mantle's. All the photos were shot by legendary photographer Ozzie Sweet, whose portraits of Hall of Famers have graced major sports magazine covers for more than a half century. Mantle was one of Sweet's favorite subjects and it shows in the character of the photos here. They include Mantle in Yankee pinstripes, swinging from both the left and right sides; a back to back photo with teammate Roger Maris: a portrait of Mantle against a backdrop of home uniforms; a photo from the famous black and white fishing series, with Billy Martin; a back framed portrait of Mantle in his trademark number "7" road uniform; about ready to swing from the right side; a close-up; back to back posed to swing with son Mickey, Jr., at the beach; and a final portrait. All images measure approximately 23 in. by 19 in. and all are framed, signed in black sharpie by Ozzie Sweet and are in near mint condition. 10 items. Two photographs are not illustrated.
