PSA AUTHENTIC Full PROOF Ticket (Not Valid Admission) to the World Heavyweight Championship Fight between Champion Rocky Marciano and challenger Roland LaStarza held at the Polo Grounds in New York on September 24, 1953. This would be a rematch of a bout from 1950, before Marciano won the title, in which Marciano won a somewhat controversial split decision. The fight was fairly even for the first 6 rounds but then fatigue overtook LaStarza and Marciano began to batter LaStarza relentlessly. In the 11th round the referee ended the fight giving Marciano a TKO. This was the first time in 53 fights that LaStarza could not finish. Ticket displays a very clean EX-MT but has been punched/cancelled at both ends.
