This stunning ONL baseball, original from HOFer Jesse Haines personal collection that was sold at Lelands in 2006 features twenty-five signatures from the 1926 World Champion Cardinals. The following signatures, in black fountain pen, can be seen: G.C. Alexander, Rogers Hornsby, Jim Bottomley, Chick Hafey, Ray Blades, Bob O'Farrell, Les Bell, Billy Southworth, Tommy Thevenow, Flint Rhem, Taylor Douthit, Bill Hallahan, Ed Clough, Specs Toporcer, Bill Sherdel (2), Vic Keen, Bill Warwick, Al Sothoron, Ernie Vick, Hi Bell, Wattie Holm, Jake Flowers, Art Reinhart and Otto Williams. Their marks have experienced minor fading from age but 90% of the group has remained dark and entirely legible beneath the thin layer of protective shellac. The majority of the signatures grade a "6" out of possible "10" and the ball is EX. A true rarity that includes some very tough autographs that don't pop up on the hobby every day.
