Detroit Tiger Hall of Famer Sam Crawford Spalding Autograph Professional Model game used bat. Crawford played 19 years in the majors - 1899-1902 with Cincinnati and 1903-1917 with Detroit. His lifetime batting mark is .309 with a high of .378 in 1911. Ash wood bat is 35 inches long and weighs 38.8 ounces. Spalding trademark stamped at both knob and top barrel. Uncracked bat shows heavy game use and evidence of tape on handle. Grain swelling from repeated ball contact is visible on the right and left barrel. The surface of the front barrel shows evidence of drying. The length and weight of the bat plus the Spalding trademark stampings, all match the autographed Crawford bat in the Maier collection, which was given to Maier in person by Crawford. Full LOA from PSA/DNA(Malta/Taube) with a grade of PSA/DNA GU6.
