On August 26 1934 Chicago's Comisky Park hosted the second annual East v West "Colored Baseball Classic". This All Star game pitted the best of the Eastern Negro League ball players against their brethren in the West. This very scarce foldout scorecard from the game is unscored and contains a roster of black ball superstars. Strong very good to excellent shape. On the East squad players included eventual Hall of Fame pitchers Satchel Paige "Cool Papa" Bell Oscar Charleston Josh Gibson and Jud Wilson while the West team fielded Willie Wells "Turkey" Stearns ?Mule? Suttles and Bill Foster. The East won 1 to 0 on Jud Wilson's infield grounder scoring the fleet Bell from second base. Condition is about EX.
