This was the one that culminated an unprecedented, chaotic span of three years of owner fulminating, dugout bickering, media mayhem and oh yeah…winning. The Oakland A’s claimed their third World Series title in a row, bring the word “Dynasty” back into the baseball vernacular for the first time without those pinstriped bullies from the Bronx being part of the conversation. It was historic and memorable and ultimately made all the more so by the exodus of most of the nucleus of the club to more lucrative locales within a couple of years.

Produced by Jostens, Rollie Fingers’ personal owner’ size 1974 Oakland A’s World Series trophy measures 23 inches in height and weighs a hefty 25 pounds. Among its accoutrements are the 1974 World Series press pins for the A’s and Dodgers, front and center atop the black Lucite base. The A’s downed the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games. Rollie Fingers figured in all four Oakland victories, posting a win and three saves, and was honored as the Series MVP. The trophy remains in absolutely stunning condition.

These full size trophies were only available to players wishing to purchase them at a substantial cost. Reportedly only a couple of players availed themselves of this staggering opportunity - Fingers among them - sending the rarity of this incredible award way off the charts. Few could argue that of the few that exist, none could be more desirable than that procured by the Series MVP himself.

Comes with a LOA from Rollie Fingers.
