Call it the jersey that might have been. At a Los Angeles Dodgers rookie training camp in 1964, a 17-year-old Rollie Fingers wore this Dodgers home No. 18 jersey and performed well enough that the club offered him a $20,000 signing bonus. But Fingers - noting the Hall of Fame arms already on the Dodgers and a wave of young talent firmly implanted in the franchise's legendary minor-league pipeline - opted instead to accept less money from the Kansas City Athletics and presumably a better shot at reaching the Big Time. So much for the alleged questionable judgment of youth. Thus was launched the Hall of Fame career of one of the greatest relief pitcher's in MLB history. The Size 44 Rawlings-tagged jersey is in wonderful condition, showing use but otherwise in virtually problem-free condition; there is some fraying of the Rawlings tag on the front and around the blue felt No. 18 on the shirt's back. Fingers has added an attractive blue Sharpie autograph that nicely complements the blue felt "Dodgers" script letters. Comes with an Letter of Authenticity from Rollie Fingers.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
