ADDENDUM: This ball comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA.
The late, great Roger Maris was a remarkable outfielder and power hitter for both the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals who is the man responsible for breaking Babe Ruth’s longstanding (34-year-old) record of 60 home runs in a single season. In 1961, Maris launched 61 round-trippers to break The Bambino’s mark and set the baseball world on fire. This lot features a single-signed OAL (MacPhail) baseball done in bold 8-9/10 blue ink by Maris on the sweet spot. The spot-toned ball is still quite white in some areas, helping Maris' sharp signature stand out beautifully. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
