On September 26, 1961, Roger Maris hit his 60th home run of the season tying Babe Ruth's seemingly insurmountable record. On October 1, 1961, in the last game of the season, Maris hit home run #61 and baseball changed forever. The offered framed display is the ultimate commemoration of Maris’ legendary feat. The framed montage includes original ticket stubs from each historic game referenced above, as well as a scored centerfold from the record-breaking October 1, 1961 game and a beautiful Maris signed 6-1/2” by 8” photo (9/10). Both ticket stubs have writing on them with the latter being a notation, “ROGER MARIS HITS 61 HOMER” in blue ink. All four items converge beautifully in this matted framed piece that measures 22” by 18” overall. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
